Wallace George Ober, Jr.

Wallace “Wally” George Ober, Jr., 73, passed away at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital on July 2, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh PA in 1953, he was the son of the late Wallac G. and Ruth J. (Duling) Ober, Sr. 

After graduating high school, Wally worked at US steel for many years and then drove a truck for Schnieder Trucking before starting his own company, WGO Enterprises LLC.

When Wally was young, he enjoyed playing baseball. He always attended the little league games of his children and loved watching football. He was a loyal Steelers fan. In addition, Wally loved to cook and go target shooting.

Wally believed in God, and followed the word of the Lord.

Wally had a kind heart; he loved his family, his friends and his cat Baby. He had a quick, witty sense of humor. He will be missed by all who loved him. May he rest in peace with the Lord. Special thanks to Wally’s neighborhood family for all they did for him.

He is survived by his children, Marcy Niedbala Kronz, (spouse of William Kronz), Justin Ober, (spouse of Carla Karstadt), and Laura Haydon; his grandchildren, Jonathan Niedbala (spouse of Amanda Niedbala), Danielle Niedbala Keck (spouse of Justin Keck), Kailey Haydon, Alyssa Haydon, Noelle Ober, and Mason Ober; his great granddaughter, Lacey Lou Keck; his sisters, Cheryl Linder and Diane Hughes; as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial will be held 7/25/26 at 11am. Allegheny Center Alliance Church 250 East Ohio Street Pittsburgh Pa 15212
