Wanda Jean Shimer, 75, of Manheim passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on October 25, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD to the late Robert and Jeanne (McBurney) Cronin, she was the loving wife of Marvin L. Shimer, III. For more than 25 years, she was the secretary to the U.S. Attorney's in federal court. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching and shopping with her sisters.

In addition to her husband, Marvin, she is survived by her son, Steven; her sister Mari-Jean; and her brother, Robert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David, and her sister, Kathy; as well as extended family and many friends.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
