IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Bill"
Rupp
June 24, 1950 – March 30, 2025
William "Bill" Rupp of Lancaster, PA went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2025, at the age of 74.
Born on June 24, 1950, in Harrisburg, PA, Bill was the son of the late Melvin and Helen Rupp. He grew up in New Cumberland, PA, before moving to Lancaster with his family in 1984.
A devoted husband, Bill celebrated 51 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Linda, this March. Their enduring partnership was evident not only in their shared life but also in their work together—Bill was the proud owner of G.E. Richards, Inc., a respected copier dealership serving Central Pennsylvania until its closure in 2007.
A man of deep faith, Bill was a dedicated father and a loving, supportive presence to all who knew him. As a respected businessman, he earned admiration for his strong principles, generosity and unwavering ethics. Bill was also committed to serving his community through various organizations including the Lancaster Rotary Club, Love Inc. and Meals on Wheels. Bill was also an active member of Grace Community Church. Bill's commitment to his family, faith, and community will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife Linda and had the opportunity to visit 6 continents with a South African safari being his favorite trip.
Bill will be remembered as a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan and season ticket holder for more than 25 years and will proudly remember the Eagles as Super Bowl Champions!
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Dennis) Rupp; his son, Kyle Rupp of Houston, TX; his daughter, Kimberly (Rupp) Vavrence and her husband, Joe, of Cream Ridge, NJ; his cherished grandchildren, Avery, Riley, and Joey Vavrence; and his sisters, Louise Bowen and Audrey Sizelove.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Grace Community Church of Willow Street (212 Peach Bottom Rd, Willow Street) on April 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Grace Community Church of Willow Street's Missionary fund.
